South County Hospital's physical therapy and occupational therapy program is southern Rhode Island's comprehensive resource for orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation. Fully accredited (JCAHO), and staffed by experienced, licensed therapists, South County Hospital's PT/OT services are designed to help you achieve maximum improvement following illness, surgery, or injury, including sports injuries of all types. Our goal is to give you the help and time you need to return to the life you love.

Physical Therapy Program
Our physical therapists work closely with you, creating an individualized plan to optimize mobility, strength, and range of motion, and to decrease pain. Commonly treated conditions include back and neck pain, total joint replacements, stroke and neurological disorders, repetitive stress syndromes, sports injuries, and arthritis. We have a record of superior outcomes with our joint replacement patients.

Occupational Therapy Program
Our occupational therapists work closely with you to increase your independence in activities of daily living, with a treatment focus on the hand and upper extremity, offering a variety of programs to meet your specific needs. Programs include a comprehensive hand therapy program, hand arthritis program, stroke/neurological and cognitive rehabilitation services, family-centered pediatric program, and a Driver Evaluation Program.

Two locations, convenient appointment times
For your convenience, SCH Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy has two locations: 14 Woodruff Avenue, Suite 1, Narragansett, and the Medical & Wellness Center, 3461 South County Trail, East Greenwich, and offers convenient appointment times, including early morning and evening. A van service is available for individuals without transportation to our facility. To arrange for this service, call 782-8020, ext. 1178.
