Bringing nurses to the forefront
At South County Hospital we have worked hard to bring nursing to the forefront of the organization. Our shared governance model of practice ensures that clinically based nurses, nursing staff and management share a voice in decision-making and shaping policies in their areas of expertise. Every department where nursing is practiced is represented on our Nurse Practice Council, which addresses clinical practice, policies and procedures, and research and practice, among other areas. Our extensive education calendar recognizes the need for ongoing professional development for our staff.
