Breast Health Program

The Breast Health Coordinator South County Hospital is at the center of the Breast Health Program and of your breast health care. A registered nurse practitioner, she has a single focus—you and your recovery.

Primary point of contact
Our Breast Health Coordinator meets with you after she receives a call from your referring physician, often on the same day. From that point on, she is at the center of your breast health care.

• She will set up a surgical consultation for you
• Amid the multiple doctors, nurses, and technologists involved in your treatment, she provides you and your referring physician with a primary point of contact.

Facilitating your medical care, emotional support
Our Breast Health Coordinator ensures you receive the optimum medical care in addition to emotional and educational support. As your advocate and partner, her goal is to:

• Help you navigate each phase of the diagnostic and treatment process.
• Facilitate every aspect of your care—even if part of that care takes places outside the South County Hospital program.
• Be a source of knowledge, understanding, guidance, and strength.
