The Department of Behavioral Health at South County Hospital offers the residents of Southern Rhode Island (RI) a range of services for psychiatric disorders, including:

  • Emergency assessments/evaluations (24-hour availability)*
  • Brief mental health crisis stabilization
  • Pharmacology
  • Inpatient behavioral health consultations
  • Expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders during pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Psychoeducation on behavioral health issues
  • Outpatient behavioral health services

*Available through a collaborative agreement with South Shore Mental Health.
