The South County Medical Group

401 782-8000, All Services

The South County Medical Group is a comprehensive network of expert specialists and primary care healthcare providers.  The group, created to provide a continuum of care for patients, currently includes specialists in Behavioral Health, Cardiology, General Surgery, Hospitalists, Infectious Disease (including the Lyme Disease Clinic), Obstetrics & Gynecology, Oncology/Hematology, Podiatry, Primary Care—Family & Internal Medicine, and Urgent Care.

Together, these practices can give patients easy access to other specialists as needed and, by working together as a cohesive team, can better manage each individual’s healthcare needs.  One way in which this is done is the sharing of the same information systems platform for patients’ Electronic Health Records (EHR).  Access to up-to-date and complete health records is vitally important in the diagnosis and treatment of injury, illness, or chronic disease.  When a person sees several different physicians for a multitude of health issues, it’s particularly important that all physicians involved be aware of all treatments being delivered.  Since most physicians do not share a database platform, this feature of the South County Medical Group members is an important point of distinction.

The South County Medical Group is still growing.  Presently, you will find providers in the following specialties (listed alphabetically):

Behavioral Health

Behavioral Health: Behavioral Health providers offer a wide range of services dedicated to mental health and well-being including outpatient behavioral health services, emergency diagnostic assessments/evaluations, brief mental health crisis stabilization, medication management, inpatient psychiatric consultations, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders during and post pregnancy, and psychoeducation on behavioral health issues.
