South County Hospital offers a mind-body relaxation program called Prepare for Surgery, Heal Faster™ to help patients feel calmer before surgery, use less pain medication and recover more quickly. The program is run by Nanette Doan, RN.  Participants consult with Nanette and receive a book and CD by Peggy Huddleston, a leading specialist in integrated medicine and developer of the Prepare for Surgery, Heal Faster™ program. The book and CD are available in the Hospital's gift shop. To learn more about the program, call 401 788-1870.  

Behavioral Health Services

For your convenience, consultations with the experts from the Hospital’s Behavioral Health Services are available within the Center for Women’s Health suite in Wakefield, Rhode Island one day a week.
