South County Hospital is the only hospital in Rhode Island offering the FDA-approved BIRMINGHAM HIP Resurfacing System, an alternative to total hip replacement. It is one of only two hospitals in the state to offer patients undergoing knee and hip replacement procedures an advanced computer-assisted, image-guided navigation system.
